Niki Shah is an architect and urban designer with more than 15 years of experience. He studied B.Arch. at M.S. University, Vadodara and M.Sc. in Urbanism at TU Delft. He was awarded the prestigious Netherlands Fellowship (HSP Huygens) Programme Scholarship for studies at Delft.
Niki leads the Urban Design studio and mentors a multidisciplinary team of architects, urban designers and planners. With an eye for detail and a deep understanding of urban development issues, he brings a unique direction to the practice. Significant projects that he has worked on include Central Vista Redevelopment, Delhi; Amochhu Riverfront and Township Development, Bhutan; Sabarmati Riverfront Development, Ahmedabad; and Mumbai Port Complex Master Plan.
Niki is also involved in photography and graphic design for HCP’s publication and outreach activities. He also engages with universities as a resource person, jury member and thesis guide for research and design projects in an urban context.
