Bindu Nair is a planner with 22 years of experience in statutory planning, spanning a significant portfolio of planning and research projects. She has prepared statutory Development Plans, Town Planning Schemes and Land Pooling Schemes for various cities in India. Significant projects she has worked on include Development Plan for Saputara, Alang Area Development authority in Gujarat and Redevelopment of the Eastern waterfront for Mumbai Port Trust.
Bindu leads a team of urban planners working on statutory planning, various projects on environment and tourism and also undertakes business development activities related to urban planning division. Her key publications include ‘Inventory of public land in Ahmedabad’, ‘Preserving and Revitalizing Mumbai’s Environmental Assets, An Approach’, ‘Inventory of Environmental Features in Mumbai, India’ and ‘Application of Satellite Images and GIS in the Preparation of Development Plans: Case Study –TUDA’, all of which are published in reputed international journals.
